Our Commitment

Crofton Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We believe that everyone should be able to participate in church life safely and with dignity.

We take safeguarding seriously and follow the safeguarding policies and guidance of the Church of England and the Diocese of Leeds.

What We Do

  • Follow Church of England safeguarding guidance and procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate safeguarding training for church leaders and volunteers.
  • Carry out DBS checks where required.
  • Promote safer recruitment practices.
  • Respond appropriately to concerns and disclosures.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
