Baptisms
"For all of you who were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ." Galatians 3:27
We’re delighted you’re considering baptism — whether for your child, yourself, or someone you love.

Baptisms for Children
We’re always thrilled to welcome babies and children for baptism. It’s a joyful service where family and friends gather to celebrate the gift of a new life and commit to helping that child grow in faith and love.
We’ll guide you through:
What baptism means
Choosing godparents
What happens during the service
Support for you and your family
Baptisms for Adults
If you’ve never been baptised and would like to explore taking this step as an adult, we’d love to talk to you. Many adults are baptised as part of a journey of faith or before confirmation.
Wherever you are in life, God’s invitation is always open.
If you’re thinking about baptism, let’s start with a conversation.
Please contact us to talk with one of our clergy and find out what’s involved. There’s no pressure — just a warm welcome and an open heart.
We can’t wait to walk this journey with you.
Thanksgiving Service
For families who feel they cannot make the promises involved in a baptism service, a Thanksgiving Service is a wonderful alternative.
It allows parents to give thanks for their child while leaving the decision of baptism to the child when they are older and ready to make that commitment themselves.
If you are not sure which is right for you, contact Rev’d Louise Tinniswood to discuss your options and begin planning this special occasion.
